Progetti d'Autunno

Ciao a tutti. È stata un'estate molto piena e benedetta, a parte il caldo. I mesi di giugno e luglio sono andati bene per le nostre poche ma costanti attività. Ad agosto ci siamo presi una pausa davvero necessaria per ricaricare le batterie. A fine mese abbiamo partecipato alla conferenza che CC Roma tiene ogni due anni a Milstatt, in Austria. È stato un tempo glorioso e fortificante, insieme a Sandy Adams, sua moglie Kathy e un gruppo di ragazzi della Calvary di Stone Mountain (USA). Abbiamo studiato l'epistola ai Filippesi e parlato della gioia del Signore.
Ora siamo pronti a ricominciare. Ci aspettano mesi impegnativi: il programma di Street Soccer una volta al mese (i ragazzi sono molto ansiosi di giocare); lo studio biblico ogni giovedì; altri eventi evangelistici, a partire da domenica prossima, in cui faremo un concerto con la band Cadence Please, dalla California.
La famiglia sta bene. Antonella se la cava. La sua salute è abbastanza stabile. Il suo lavoro di infermiera le porta via molto tempo ed energie, ma rimane comunque molto presente ed è una benedizione per noi. Matteo sta per compiere 13 anni, e inizia davvero a crescere. Quest'anno sarà l'ultimo anno di scuole medie, e dovremo scegliere la scuola superiore. Decisione impegnativa. Ha un bel gruppo di amici, tra i ragazzi della chiesa e i compagni di basket. Oltre la pallacanestro, è appassionato di musica e di videogiochi.

Autumn's Plans

Ciao everyone. It was a very full and blessed summer, except for the heat. June and july went very well for our few but constant activities. In August we took a break; it was really needed to recharge the batteries. At the end of the month we have attended a conference that Calvary Chapel Rome organize every other year in Millstatt, Austria. It was a glorious and refreshing time, together with pastor Sandy Adams, his wife Kathy and a team of people from his church in Stone Mountain (USA). He taught from the epistle of Philippians and talked about the joy of the Lord.
Now we are ready to start again. Before us there are months of hard work: our Street Soccer program (the kids are really anxious to play!); our home Bible Study every thursday night; other outreaches, beginning with a concert next sunday, with the band Cadence Please from California.
My family is well. Antonella is okay. Her health is stable. Her job as a nurse takes her a lot of time and energy, but she is still very present and a real blessing for us. Matteo is almost 13, and he is really growing. This will be his last year at the Middle School; we need to choose what kind of High School is going to go for the next 5 years. Big decision. He has several friends, both from church and basket, Beside that, he loves music and video games.
Prayer request:
Margherita, Giuseppina and Tiziana (and her husband Massimiliano); that they can be totally free from the traditions and false teachings of catholicism, grow spiritually and be filled with the Spirit
